Stratus' minimalistic design was influenced behind two main core ideals: maximize minimal real estate space requirements while quantifying extremely high compute power. Designed by Dr. Rodrigo Romero, Stratus is composed of 9 vertical aluminum beams cross-sectioned by 2 supporting horizontal beams, enabling a solid foundation for up to 45 clustered supercomputing nodes.

High Speed: Fat-Tree Topology

Behind the aluminum structure, the central propelling force behind Stratus is fitted with a high-performance computing InfiniBand fabric computer network communications link operating at 40 GB/s.
