Announcing an open day for UTEP's NSF-funded Cyber-ShARE Sensor Testing facility. Come and see the new sensor technology development and testing facility on the roof of the Biology building, the first green roof in El Paso!

Where - The roof top of the Biology building, accessed through the stairwell on the west side the biology building.
When - Thursday 17th September 2009, 3pm to 6pm
Why - The need for the innovation, development, and application of sensors and related technologies transcends multiple fields in science and engineering. Through UTEP's NSF-funded Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence, a general-use roof-top infrastructure has been developed for sensor technology research and education-related activities. This facility is intended to provide free 24/7 access for students, researchers and faculty who need a secure and/or outdoor facility for conducting research or teaching-related activities focused on the development and deployment of sensor technologies.

The construction of this roof top facility has been made possible through cooperation between UTEP's NSF-funded Cyber-ShARE Center of Excellence, the Department of Biology and UTEP Facilities. For more information about the facility please contact Dr. Craig Tweedie (915 747 8448, ctweedie@utep.edu).
